Experiences, challenges & potentials” is taking place onNovember 19, 20, 21, atSerafio City of Athens, at a time full of challenges for the future of participatory design as a methodology and practice of planning and policy-making. 

Participatory design methods need to be further tested and developed to respond to the tangible effects of climate change on everyday life in cities, the unprecedented experience of the pandemic, as well as the economic and social impact of austerity policies on regional and local government. Within that context, the conference aims to create a space for dialogue on the democratization of urban planning processes by scaling the active participation of local authorities, communities, groups and organizations.
