Kindergarteners for DUT MAINCODE project!

Children from the 4th and 10th Kindergarten of Chalandri are also participating in the DUT MAINCODE project! 🌱

A total of 62 students, who share the same schoolyard with the children of the 4th Primary School, have started the Participatory Design program. Through this process, they learn about Climate Change, the need to green their schoolyard, and they mapped out—on an aerial photo of their school—what they like, what they don’t like, and their ideas for improving their playground! 🗺️

Younger children have a strong need for sensory play and contact with natural materials, while it is equally important for them to have appropriate spaces that support their emotional and social development.

So, what do you think the children wished for?Games, games, and more games! 🎈But also a space to care for neighborhood animals and lots of greenery! 🐾

The workshops will continue with the kindergarten children!
